Having a good place to live is important. Through your public housing agency (PHA), the Section 8 Certificate Program and the Housing Voucher Program help you rent a good place.

Use this form to comply with a covered housing provider's request for written documentation of your status as a "victim”. This  form is accompanied by a "Notice of Occupancy Rights Under the Violence Against Women Act," Form HUD-5380.

Fair housing laws apply to both individuals and families regardless of if they are Voucher Holders or paying market rates.

HUD has implemented a mandatory rule that requires all Public Housing Agencies (PHA) to suspend the term of the voucher when the Request for Tenancy Approval (RTA) for the prospective unit is received.

These services allow participants to prepare for the competitive opportunity area, housing rental market, obtain a unit, adjust and succeed in a new community.
